The Estonian Academy of Sciences Male Choir, ETAM, has been active in Tallinn since 1958. We are united by a love of choral music, a patriotic spirit and long-standing traditions.<\/p>\n \n\n \n

The choir was founded on the initiative of former singers of the Tallinn Polytechnic Institute Male Choir. Arvo Ratassepp was invited to become its first chief conductor, and under his leadership ETAM developed into an active male choir with a distinctive identity.<\/p>\n \n\n \n

Today we are an active concert choir and compete in the A category of male-choir competitions in Estonia. Our repertoire includes both Estonian and international music for male choir. We value good music, the continuous development of our singers\u2019 skills and maintaining a high artistic standard.<\/p>\n \n\n \n

More than singing<\/h2>\n \n\n \n

ETAM is not simply a place where we meet for rehearsal once a week. The choir also means friendship, concert tours, choir camps, shared activities and traditions built over many years.<\/p>\n \n\n \n

We are united by the joy of singing, patriotism, good company and the desire to make good music together. Men of very different ages and backgrounds meet in the choir, brought together by a shared interest in music.<\/p>\n \n\n \n

We also work closely with our sister choir, the Estonian Academy of Sciences Women\u2019s Choir, giving joint concerts and performing mixed-choir repertoire together.<\/p>\n \n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
