A good male choir is built by people who enjoy singing together.
If music gives you joy, you want to develop as a singer and you are looking for good company, you are welcome to visit an ETAM rehearsal. Previous choir experience is certainly useful, but the most important things are the desire to sing, learn and contribute to the group.
Why sing with ETAM?
Good music
We sing a varied male-choir repertoire, from Estonian classics to contemporary works. Both the joy of singing and a strong artistic result matter to us.
Professional conductors
Rehearsals and concerts are led by experienced conductors who help you develop both as a singer and as a musician.
Concerts and travel
Choir life is not limited to rehearsals. We perform at concerts and events around Estonia, and from time to time our shared activities also take us abroad.
Great company
ETAM is more than a group of singers meeting once a week. Concerts, trips, choir camps, traditions and friendship are all part of choir life.
Two choirs in one
By joining the male choir, you effectively also get a taste of mixed-choir singing. Our sister choir is the Estonian Academy of Sciences Women’s Choir; we give joint concerts and often sing mixed-choir repertoire together. And our sister choir is a great group of people, too!
Life beyond rehearsals
You may also spot our men in choir shirts rafting down a river, cycling in recreational sports events or sitting around a beer table listening to a good story. Choir life often continues long after rehearsal ends.
Come along and see how you like singing with us.
How does it work?
Our regular rehearsal takes place on Thursdays at 18:00 at Salme Cultural Centre in Tallinn.
If you would like to join us, there is no need for lengthy preparation. Contact us and come along to a rehearsal to listen and sing with us. You will meet the conductors and singers, we will try out your voice together and find the voice part that suits you.
The easiest way to find out whether ETAM is the right choir for you is simply to come along.
